From their Walthamstow workshop SABEL Saddlery make to order watch straps and fob watch covers for a wide variety of timepieces. This service has proven particularly popular with those who seek leather for the unusual, superseded or vintage; or for those who simply can't find satisfaction elsewhere.

Made-to-measure and individually hand cut, each strap (or cover) is hand-stitched and hand-polished using traditional, English saddlery techniques.

Customers can select from a wide range of buckles, leathers, linings and linen threads to create numerous colour and style combinations. Lined items allow the inclusion of a contrasting colour in soft leather on the inside - not only to complement the outer but also to increase comfort against the wearer's skin.

We normally recommend the choice of stitch colour reflects the lining, allowing it to contrast against the outer leather. But we also happily break this rule if desired.

Watch straps are either fitted at our workshop or pop up shop in Walthamstow, East London but are also supplied mail order. We can supply fitted straps with one hole, not only to maximise its strength but also minimise the stress upon it.

Mail order straps are supplied with three holes - an ideal compromise between a completely bespoke fitting yet avoiding the generic appearance of long, multi-holed straps and their unwieldy ends.

Cuff straps are a versatile solution as the "cuff" can be removed and the watch worn separately as a standard watch strap.
