Country in the City article, October issue
Louise Elliott, deputy editor of Country Living Magazine, came over to the workshop to see how I worked in a cabin in the garden we had made. This was for a article about Country in the City, initiated by QEST’s PR. Louise captured how we had set up the cabin in the garden, surrounded by raised beds and trees in our garden, but only 25mins by tube to Oxford Circus. I talked her through the different methods and materials I used for making leather goods and even got her to have a go at hand stitching.
A few weeks later, Lucinda Rogers, an illustrator came over to the workshop and sketched me whilst I did some hand-stitching and repaired a satchel. Pen and ink, then watercolour. I had never posed before, but it was very pleasant to have a chat whilst someone was sketching away.
The article is out now in the October issue of Country Living Magazine.
