Walthamstow-based Product Designer & Furniture Maker Gavin Coyle, of Belgrave Furniture Works, commissioned us to develop a lid for his new toolbox design. We collaborated in developing a moulded, leather-clad lid with magnetic fittings to hold it open, allow metal items to be attached to the underside of the lid, and finished with hand-stitched tabs and Sam Browne studs for closure.
Simple, elegant and beautifully constructed, it will be available to order from Gavin’s website in a choice of woods and leathers in the near future.
