The second international celebration of the carved wooden spoon will be host to a variety of carving and craft demonstrations and workshops.
At Spoonfest Mia Sabel is looking forward to demonstrating the skills required to cut, mould, stitch and burnish vegetable-tanned leather, with an emphasis on creating sheaths for hand tools. She will also be available to discuss any other leather-related issues that you might have.
Although Mia has only carved one spoon so far, it is still in daily use.
